Sierra Pacific Power and Nevada Power (the two subsidiaries of Sierra Pacific Resources) are continually competing and acquiring reliable, affordable power supplies for its customers. To that end, SPR is posting its recent Request For Proposal (RFP) for various power products.

Demand Side Management RFPs

The deadline for applying for the Demand Side RFPs has passed.

Renewable RFPs

Nevada Power and Sierra Pacific Power currently have contracts for 590 mw of renewable resources. Under the Nevada renewable portfolio standard Sierra Pacific Resources (parent company of Sierra Pacific Power and Nevada Power) is currently required to provide 9% of its retail sales from renewable generation. This requirement increases to 20% in 2015.
